As some of you are probably aware there is a drout in the east of England - no hosepipes = no pressure washers. This ban is expected to last to min 2013. How am i supposed to maintain a 1987 90's chassis without a pressure washer? This is especially important when they grit the roads with the salt and such. Any ideas?

yep go down to your local garage or friendly forign car wash centre and grimmace at how much it costs but feel safe that your chassis is going to be ok

it is waxoyled - but surey it needs to be cleaned every 5 months or so? (i mean the mud / dirt layer not the waxoyl underneath) And when all the sirt goes hard ro teach places etc - this chassis gotta last me hehe

they only clean the nice shiny parts of the car, they neve touch anything past the wheel arches

water butt up higher than ya pressure washer or

water butt and sump pump connectyed to ya pressure washer

if no rain fill ya butt with a watering can / or divert bath water into it

i beleive the ban only applies to domestic usage, pressure washing a business vehicle is still allowed,
or find a garage with a jet wash , or a local business that uses a pressure washer

or just carry on and hope nobody notices or cares

if businesses are exempt , presumably a "mobile car washing service " could turn up with a pressure washer in their van , connect to your tap , charge you labour and the water company could go whistle?

what drought
just been hit with hail and a mini torrent coming down the road i live on
if we are in a drought then someone needs to tell the weather

hehe yeah its hard to believe - but if you go to the Rutland Resevoir / lake its pretty damn low - the water line has receeded like hell.

get a water butt and fill it now whilst its ****ing with rain all day.then fire up the pressure washer.happy days.

Im not in a drought are. Bring it here and do it

Look at the wet roads web site and find a decent ford in your area. Then keep driving through it till you think it is done. Or get out and clean it whilst there just don't use soap.
