I am taking delivery of my minty 2000 RR P38 4.0 SE next week and it occurred to me today, after reading all P38 threads here for the last month, that it would be good to get a warranty. As the car only has 62,000 miles on it, I thought it would be possible and so began shopping around.

In fact, Click4Warranty will spin out any of three different warranties on the car at £350, ¢400 or £550 per year for up to three years. The big difference between the least and the most expensive policy is that the fatty covers everything, while the economy policy does not cover suspension, which would seem to be a fatal omission for a P38 owner.

Has anybody else gotten a policy from Click4Warranty? Do you have other suggestions of possible warranty sources?

Thanks in advance for your help and wisdom

Yes, well, they won't insure it because it is 'more than 10 years old'. This, in spite of the claim that they provide warranties for up to 12 years of age and 120,000 miles. Perhaps if I call them and don't rely on their web site for the quotation . . .

Thanks.
