I’ll have a look to see if I can locate any type of filter on it.
And see if I can see anything unusual.
I keep thinking about the rear diff, I had a freelander once and the bushes had gone on the diff and used to knock. But this seems as though the gear engages a fraction too late. If that makes sense? My wife said she was driving today, and it done whilst she was actually stationary in traffic
It's obviously her fault then.

Just an update, the car went in today to be checked over.
They done a gearbox software update on it.
So far so good but only time will tell when it’s driven for a while, but keeping fingers crossed lol
Thanks again for all your replies. Even though some were granted a **** take . ( I do how ever agree )
is there any way to find out the software you've got and what it should be, had mine 9 years from new and its just started doing a few jerks into drive when I release the foot brake. About to plug it into iCarsofr CR MAX and see if it says anything as well as gearbox version numbers.

Some diagnostic tools will reveal ecu versions but it depends on the level of diag tool. The dealers could tell you.
If you've owned from new and never had an update then it may only be the original software version...
