Hi, I am very thankful for the shared latest sdd.
I have installed a bumper with parking sensors and added the interior console with front parking button. Unfortunately, it does not work. I have tried SDD to activate it, but it wouldn't do anything. Once in a process of rewriting ccf file a message poped up on the infotainment screen "parking aid unavailable". The parking button doesn't do anything nor the automatic activation whilst in reverse. This is all on X351 XJ. The schematics show that both front and rear parking sensors are connected to the same module.
Any ideas?
maybe something wrong on activating ccf? there are two places at least and you need engineering mode.

Good day.

I have a small issue.

Got a fx 2013 but need some advice with sdd.

Battery ran flat.

Now it gives error that key is not detected.

Tried backup position and it still says smart key error.

Got sdd and it gives me some error codeds.

Tried running cluster reprogram as i was told that can solve the problem but no luck.

Here is some pictures of the sdd results
do a network integrity test, that will force ignition as well and you can see if one of the modules is reporting porkies. I smell a BCM issue.

hi guys
i need help
i install sdd jlr 164 with no any problems
is running but on both freelander i got ( 2007 and 2012 ) i cant connect to Instrument cluster (ICU)
also most of 2 bottom grups of modules i can't connect to
i use win7 32 bit and open port 2.0
please help guys

what do U think about?

no ms cann comm, dunno why use openport when mongoose is cheap and available.

Anyone on here used SDD on a Discovery Sport MY20 model? I have just found out my Gap IID tool wonk work on the Disco and I now need to program the Towing module I have fitted.. I thought I would ask before just connecting up... :)

It 'might' as the towing module isn't on FlexRay - but IIRC you need to also modify the CCF in the GWM, which is on FlexRay - SDD only fully supports vehicles prior to 17MY, FlexRay needs DoIP support which means 'Pathfinder' or later.

It'd be more cost effective to get a dealer or indie to code it in for you. The interface is 'quite' to 'very' expensive, before you start looking at software.

There was me thinking they were meant to be making cars easier to fix, not harder

It is easy - with the right tools. Realistically, for a one-off coding, let someone else invest in the kit and pay a small %age for the service.

These are the details from the fitting instructions... am now waiting on a price from the Stealer and have an enquiry out to an Indie... not sure if they have invested in the latest Software though.

It's a relatively 'mature' platform now, if the Indie is working on post-2017 vehicles, then they'll need to have devices capable of working with DoIP equipped vehicles.

Interesting that the Dealer isnt able to or doesnt want to Code my car...although they did want to charge me A$4300 plus painting (for the small bumper cover) for a "Factory" tow kit... They are not pleased that I went to a Hayman Reese bar and accessed Factory Module, module bracket and harness as well as fitted it myself. I am taking it down to my Indie tomorrow as he wants to have a look.. not sure why....I have also reached out to GAP IId to see if the latest G4 DOIP dongle works for CCF. May end up having to trade my G3 in and get the new one... the joys of wanting to be able to do some things yourself.

I have had a reply from GAP Diagnostics advising my G3 BT tool should be able to do what I want with instructions!!! Hopefully that is the case, I just need to add my DS VIN to the tool.
I am now interested to see if SDD may actually be able to do the same thing. I just need to find a good seed generator for CCF (I need it for my RRS anyway). Anyone have any good trusted site for the CCF seed generator?

I use a command-line version, it requires Python though.

Well I am yet to actually make any changes but my G3 GAP tool connects (after a small fee to add the VIN) and I have the list of what needs to be done via CCF to make the changes. That should (I think) mean that I can use SDD to jump in. I will have a look on the weekend and advise... Still need to find a Seed Generator for CCF though.

OK, thanks, I must admit I didnt have a good look at that... and to be honest I am too old to start playing with programming languages etc... and I hate cmd line... I always have issues with syntax.
I did manage to find a tool on Google Play that appears to do the job. I have it on an isolated android tablet (just in case of malware etc) that I only used previously for my motorbike (re-setting service intervals etc) so I will try that on the weekend.

A bit of a "newbie" question (apologies if it's been asked before but I couldn't find it); When working with SDD and using a PSU do you leave the battery connected and connect the PSU in parallel or do you disconnect the battery and use just the PSU?

I'm building up to re-flashing my ECM and getting slightly nervous. Any words of wisdom before I get stuck in?

Just put the PSU across/in parallel with with the battery
