Did you update your modules? cause mine has no such option and I cannot download anything apparentl

Here's the screen I found to configure the ECM.

Apparently the 130 version of SDD has more options, than the later version.

Ah no needs investigating, basically to get it connected so we can get online module updates. I saw no improvement after changing injector codes, but once I get to temp I will also adjust the idle.
My 6a charger is not doing the job I need 10a at least to keep it going, this thing eats battery like cookie monster cookies.

Yes managed to get it online hahhaa a bit unethical have to tell a small innocent lie of the dealer info :)

Let me know how you get on, as I'd love to have all the additional features on my LCD.

Can be done but there are a few things.
The guys are saying that after 2009 is a hit an miss, different revisions on hardware and software.
Also, the replacement vcf I see is for diesel/km. Not very keen of having things in km there. I will get a proper charger and play with it more.

Update: yes miles can be retained, needs a bit of play with it which I will do and share the know how.

Mine is a 2009, but is pre stop-start, so hopefully it'll be ok. Although I suspect it's possible to install an earlier second hand Ipack, which wouldn't matter too much if it didn't work.
I'd like the clock on the dash, and the battery voltage, but not so fussed about instantaneous MPG, and Km/L isn't much use in the UK.

yep will get that sorted I am sure. Just need a proper charger before I adventure into all this.

So that cluster thing is not working on latest 160.03 I am missing buttons on softwaredownload.htm
Will have to downgrade

I've read that the later SDD versions have less functionality than the earlier versions. Apparently 130 is the best version.

Mine actually show 130.03v on the bottom of the screen, if that's a relevant number?

Yes that's it, some mhh auto time required. 130 a bit hard to find these days
This is the beauty of using a virtual machine, I can swap between versions if I want to with one click.
Going to take a while to download, 10GB and very few seeders down in soviet

I had to change the date on the laptop to make it work, which I didn't really understand. However as the laptop is only used for SDD, I'm not worried about the time being correct.

Did you know there's an engineer mode for SDD. I found video on YouTube about how to access it. I think it's probably available in all versions, but not 100% sure.

It might help access programming routines that aren't on the normal GUI.

Yes that is where I am missing the bits for pimping the cluster. That forced softwaredownload is an advanced method of flashing.
On newer versions is not so configurable so I am unable to flash the IPC
Engineering mode can be loaded on main interface as well but it requires some technical skills to generate seed/number/password per vin and the one above is sort of a backdoor.
Changing the date is to emulate that time, if it sees it's 2021 on 2012 version it will refuse to run and force an update, clearly being outdated. However if it thinks it's 2012 it's not so fuss about updates as these are not generally done as often as they are released.

I will load both 160.03 and 130.whatever and see if there is actually a need for latest and greatest in our humble case of fl2 nfl

So I've successfully managed to brick the cluster over a tiny mistake on file change. Now car is immobilised and I cannot write back the old fw. Sucks innit, just hangs on ipc

Yep it's gone however doing things the ford way helps, the ccf is backed up on bcm. So now the car runs and drives but nothing on the cluster.
Instead of replacing AH52-14C026-AD.VBF I've replaced the dat ED file which went out of flash area of the cluster, bricking it to a point that it won't respond to reflash.
I am not a smart man. But now I am not that dumb and I know where I went wrong, so time for a new (to me) cluster.
Lucky they are not expensive at all. 30 quid on doorstep not a big price to pay.

I think I'd have played with another Ipack, as then bricking it won't matter.
But hopefully you'll be able to explain in detail how to improve the screens, without bricking it next time. ;)

I will it was just a silly mistake picked the wrong file :) All seems easy anyway.
I was too confident that is why I did not get a spare cluster. And it would have worked well if not done at 9PM after a busy day.

Fair play to you Pro - you are dedicated to this. Wish i had the time to roll the sleeves up like that these days.
