Evening all

Took my fusebox apart and resoldered some dry joints today as my aircon has decided not to work.... Now I have error messages from windows to traction control! Tells me not to exceed 35mph and the suspension is on the bumpstops! WTF? I have not done any damage to the fuse box, I am pretty sure of that but what do I need to do now?

Thoughts and views appreciated

Get the magnifying glass out and check your work. Or try and borrow a fusebox from a similar car. Unfortunately, apart from the other faults, the EAS fault is a 'hard' one and will probably need the software in some form to clear it. If you haven't already got it PM DATATEK for the software and computer lead.

Yeah, It was me... Built a bridge across a set of pins! It is now back to normal. My aircon is still not working so I guess I can eliminate the fuse box for now! I know there are no leaks and it is all gassed up as I had that checked at Tim Fry Landrovers yesterday. They mentioned that it could be the aircon clutch amongst other things. Does anybody know if I can service my aircon without letting all the gas out?

Regards
Justin

Normally. the pressure (Gas quantity) is checked and the performance of the system in general. If the dryer is replaced, the system needs to be emptied and refilled. Some jobs you can do yourself like removing the front grille and taking a pressure washer to the aircon condenser and removing all the dead flies and other crap from the fins, thios will improve the efficiency of the cooler no end.

Ill get out the pressure washer! I did notice that there was a cable unplugged to the compressor witch turned out to be the clutch actuator when I energised it via the battery! I had no idea that if you took the car for a re gas and the air con did not work they automatically drain the gas - I read that here -
