I hope you are wrong about Frank Pickles.
I only insured with them last month. Previously insured with Admiral with no mod's @ £600 PA.
Now with Frank Pickles @ £191 inc ALL mod's, fully comp with green laning & off roading cover.

Before they would quote they wanted to know if the disco was modified, if I belonged to a club and if I had another car. Once I confirmed this I got transfered to Barry. I have to limit my mileage to <5K PA, then again I'm not sure I could afford the Diesel for anything more than that

If you don't have any luck try all the companies with adverts in a landy mag.

Hi Nick,

I spoke to a Guy at Frank Pickles (possibly the man himself?), he said they no longer offer off-road cover and were concentrating on their core business of Campers etc. :(

Dare I ask what excess you have on that policy? I just got a price from Adrian Flux's 4x4 dept - the policy seems to cover everything (including 3rd party driving other vehicles, winscreen, accident, legal cover, laning & off-roading etc.) but its over £480 with £200 excess! - that includes club membership and low (£3k) yearly mileage - eek!!

Thanks for the info guys!! :)

£90 Windscreen excess.
£100 all other.

I wonder if prices have increased as there is less competition?
There are a few other recommendations on this thread LINK

Hi All,

Just wondering who y'all use for insurance on your landy's, what mods you claim to have and whether you have comprehensive or 3rd party, Amount of excess (I usually go for £50)?

I'm just trying to get cover on my Discovery. Big Stu suggested Frank Pickles, but they no longer do 4x4 insurance. They suggested Noel Dazely (just waiting for a quote). Just thought I'd ask who you all use (to find the best deal) - I know Adrian Flux crops up alot - worth trying??

Cheers dudes!

Spike

I use Graham Sykes give them a call.

Called frank pickles and they put me through Adrian flux all mods declared (wheels, tyres, rollcage, lift, rocksliders, all guards, engine change) fully comp £161 with £150 excess was really pleased with that

I've got a load of these 6mm push fit manifolds to flog if anyone wants on. Good quality stuff :D Also enough pipe to breather up another Disco or Tratter if someone still needs to do theirs.

On another note, waffles will be here on Monday evening so if you're having a set, collection from Ipswich anytime or when we next meet.

Stu will probably get his when we meet for some welding and SLROC have an event at the end of the month if anyone else is coming.

I'll take monies on behalf of Geoff and do a runner (I mean hand it over) next time we meet.
