Geoff, I made the same mistake on my van when I did the clutch. Got the prop out of line and it was vibrating like a bastard.

I'll be at Newbourne tomorrow marshalling :D

Thanks to Big Stu & Wickford90 for helping out today at Newbourne - will get my handbrake sorted for next time!!

Good to meet Matthew2riches and a couple of other guys who tried to adjust my handbrake.

Just got to remove the heavy sprinkling of dust from my person! :D

Got a bit of a problem though.... I seem to have misplaced my squeaking mouse so I really do hope it hasn't ended up in the bag I gave you. Just check them before you put them on!!!!

As I said, I don't know what they were like but they seem nice and tight

Perfect!
Another weekend that I'm already booked up for!
Also not looking good for June either.
I have now decided to go with a 2" lift, but at this rate. It'll never get used!
Will I need a spring compressor? any other special tools required?
Also want to do the brake pipes, but will need some help with that.

I'll find out what weekends we still have free and post a few dates up. Would be good to get a laning day organised for those who can:
Make it,
Don't have a broken Landy
Have a tank a fuel.
I know, its asking a lot

BTW any photos from today?

Spring compressors (a pair) will be needed as you won't have enough drop on the axle to get the spring in on the driveway. What brand are you going for?

Don't technically need to do the brake pipes as mine are still quite loose at full articulation. But if you can do them then all the better :)

I didn't actually have time to take any photos  I know stu had a camera out for a moment.

Nick you got to get your Calander sorted, and plan ahead better, :D:D

I did take a couple of pics but not many.

I have a set of compressers, you can borrow mate no problem.

Nope, turns out the Passats fuel guage isn't very accurate as I ran out just as I got home from work on friday night. Then justed in the Saab to come down to Marshall training and it decided to blow off a rad hoes just before the A12.
And with the trucks gearbox playing up and still not having a working diff lock decided it wouldn't be worth bringing it along.
All in all an annoying weekend.

ok mate was just worried about you thats all, if you did not responde to this was going to call you.

Not a lot of luck with motors at mo. hopefuly things will improve

Thanks Stu, I'll take you up on that kind offer :D

Calendar - don't even go there.
18th & 19th June.
I booked for:
Novice driving training / driving day.
Manningtree Paddle and Oar festival - Inc a race to Wrabness :D
And filling family commitments (fathers day stuff)

SPOTED.......

Chris in a big white thing near Wickhambrook.......lol good to chat to you mate, hope you had a good day out on the road...

Disco will be off the road now until mid June.
Likely to get the lift kit WC 13th (all ordered up) and will probably end up fitting weekend of the 18th / 19th - unless I wangle some time off work that week. In which case I maybe able to get to the driving day on Sunday 19th unless anyone fancies an Essex day laning / fording (Terling was still @ 2 feet when I went 3 weeks ago) and or the route we did just after christmas would be good to repeat, or maybe Thetford

Hopefully nothing will break and the install will go smoothly?

I might take it round the outlaws and get it jacked up and get the old parts off before the new stuff gets delivered. I've got 4 axle stands, so hopefully the chassis would sit ok on them?

In the mean time I'm going to try and complete the following tasks:
De-Cat
Check / adjust tappets
Clean sedimentor
Change fuel filter
Change front diff oil
Try and sort front sunroof - its not working at all.
Fit the electrics for the tow bar - Not that i can afford the tow bar yet.
Fit new radio (ebay £2.21 :D )
Fit a CB - if i can find a cheapo on eBay
& in the unlikely event all of that gets done I may have a go at sorting some of the bubbling paintwork.

Cheers Geoff. Hope you get that knocking sorted. I wonder if we'll ever get a day when all the Landy's are working on the same day. If we do I'll take a photo to prove it happened.

See you soon
Nick.
