He is gutted. :(
We are all gutted. :(

Not helped by some kids mouthing off as it was around lunch time.

Had a face off with one but had to walk away as I didn't fancy a stretch for decking a teenager.

Had to cool off before going out though as I was fuming.

wow, what car hit into the vw?
I asume it wasn't a hit n run from the amount of damage lol

How did the kid even pass!? is that road a 30?

The kid was in an 05 corsa.

My road is a dead end and we are on a slight bend, school at top of road and if your doing 30 it is noticably quick.

He must have been doing at least 30.

No skidding so I don't think he touched his brakes.

What a waste of a decent golf! That looked mint!!

Still, at least it wasn't the BMW!

Just remember a non fault accident you can demand everything and you'll normally get it - be pushing to get the maximum for that Golf coz she's a beauty :(

I reckon he was on his phone coz I been to yours loads and there is no way you could crash an artic on purpose down that road let alone a small corsa by accident.

The golf was mint. Not a bit of rust, a couple of tiny dents we was gonna get the dent man to take care of, mint interior and low milage engine.

Sorry to hear that Brian. What a mess.
Already been said, but how the driver has managed that down your road is beyond me.

Insurance company can't make you give up the car. Tell them your keeping the car and a payout.
Admiral told me they gonna to take my car away. I reminded them that it was my name on the log book therefor I'll be keeping the car.
Told me there were sending a recovery truck to collect the car, my reply was good luck as it was in Romford at the bodyshop I worked at!

Right assuming the person who hit you is insured, you will be claiming off him for the damage to the golf, not sure who you claim off for the disco? There is only your insurance who can write off the golf, the corsa boys insurance cannot.
You can insist the car goes to a vw main dealer for repair and dont accept it back until you are happy with the repairs, even if it costs tens of thousands. They will try to persuade you otherwise but do not resist. You must request a curtisy car from them and any expenses you may incur, through not having the vehicle to hand.
I would check whose insurance is liable for the disco as that could be down to the insurance you have on the golf, Do not get them involved as they could then cut a deal with the corsa insurance to write the golf off

by the way, do not let any insurers take the car away until a deal has been settled, it will go missing. trust me

I'm not claiming on the disco as I know it's my sons insurance so we are leaving it out.

Just gonna say no damage as I can repair the steering myself.

The golf can't be repaired I'm sure. The shell is bent and it must be too old to get repair panels.

Then they will have to make new ones,
Ive had rally cars in a worst state than that repaired, a profesional panel beater would sort it.
Thats if you want it back, if not just insist its been lovingly restored over a number of years and has an expert valuation of £xxx depending on what you see its worth, plus a bit cos they will chip you a little

Don't they usually take Parkers book price.

We are expecting an offer of around £600 but know the car is worth far more.

We found an eBay minter for £1500 and I thought we had to prove the value of the car from other ads.

This of course does not take future value for a mint car as time goes by.

Yea dont let em take the ****... only thing they can do is take the scrap value off the payout u get if you keep it. Did it with my pug... and its parked outside now. And I got a check for the price of a replacement car -50 quid
