Oh my god. I should be allowed to run that on red. Its a tractor!!!!!!
Major step down from a Disco ES to a Land Rover 110 (pre Defender) in terms of comfort, noise and ease of driving.
Only driven it a mile and made it home
But now its going over the outlaws until the Disco is gone

Anyway heres the first photos. I managed to get the bonnet shut after jumping on it!

This will take some getting used to!

Welcome to the world of owning a real land rover.
A major step up I think you should be saying.
You should think yourself lucky its got a 200tdi in it, it would be a real bus if it had a TD in it.:p

That looks nice, nicer than mine up front! I thought the same when I picked mine up, you get use to it and it actually gives you a bit of a smile

get it ready for some lanes, the way it's raining now it could be fun...

Nice one nick, got a welder if you need to borrow one, dont worry about the noise it will stop you hearing the missus telling you what a mistake you have made, which you've not.
You now own a land rover for real men.

Nice one nick i knew you would get a land rover one day! you will get used to it and never look back!

As graham said thats a defender 200tdi engine which is a good engine!

Thanks all for the comments.
The drive to the outlaws was better. I think the shock had worn off and I had wedged the seat cushion so I wasn't sliding around
The sunroof leaks, so I'm starting to feel at home in it and did have a smile.
I'm sure I'll get used to it.

I've striped the Disco of most of its offroad toys (only bits left are the breather kit, front QT diff guard, 2" lift kit and AT2's). And i have some bits reserved already. BUT if anyone has a £1000 you can have it tax included. ES spec so money to be made from breaking it, but its a good truck and shouldn't be broken. Would make a good winter truck, Drizz!

Replaced the front wing as the previous one was cable tied to the sliders (now removed) and very little rust on the inner arches as with the rest of the truck.

Have you still got the old wing?

I could do with the side strip if you aint gonna transfer it to the other wing.

Oh and thanks for confirming its a 200tdi
I was told a new engine was fitted in 2002 (48K miles) but presumed it was with a DT.
Happy days.

That defender 200tdi engine is worth a fair lump on its own, so you've definitely got a bargain there mate!

That's a defender lump as well, not disco, looks like someone done a proper conversion. Will look good with some 31" mud tyres on it...

Certainly will along with a snorkel, my Warn 9.5Ti (need to get a bumper) and maybe a steering guard?
Are you about Friday early evening. Could collect the wheels then , but I need to be home by 18:00

Yes mate, I was going to bin it so its yours.

Cheers.
I swapped my old wing over because it had the snorkle fitted already but did not realise that the early es side strips are narrower than the later ones and it looks odd.

I have the origional wing but it's in great condition so I want to keep it in the loft as a spare.

I can pick it up when you are ready for me to come up and pick up the other parts I need.

Cheers.

I have just realised something regarding the wheels, the scrap man came on my day off and when my guys loaded my disco they took the wheels off but didnt save the wheel nuts! They were specific nuts with an extended collar so need to do some research into what ones are needed, I wouldnt want to use them without the correct nuts as the holes are bigger than the studs so will let you know when I know anything...

If your wheels are 16" then the tyres could be fitted to yours anyway if you wanted??

I have but am a bit far away... can stick it in the back of me truck if your not urgent for it??

Cool, I'm in no rush. It's just I've spent so much money lately, her in door's will have kittens.
I've run a new neutral to the battery from a fuse box & it don't start frst time on the button any more, so I want to put the split charge on & put it on the spare.
