Brian, as I said, you have first refusal on it if it fixes at a reasonable price. If you don't want it, it will be an eBay special in the winter. If it doesn't fix, it'll be a breaker but I have a good vibe about it so we should be able to save it between me and my partner.

We will have a chat about it when I come up and see you. :)

Jon or Brian "whoever gets to Matt first, could you please pick up a starter motor for me then I can pick it up from you. Thank you.

Xxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxx xxxx xxx x

Guy I am in Colchester Monday morning, wont have time to go to Matts but if someone wants to get it to me I will gladly drop it off to you on my way home.

ITS ALIVE, ITS ALIIIIIVE....

so i fixed my electric fan. With some 35 amp cable annd fuses. Crimped and Soldered all the connections, got it to suck as well (turns out it is permanent magnet) so fingers cross it carrys on working.

Going to run it WITH the viscous untill i can guarentee its reliable, then off with the viscous and bring on wales!

matt, i managed to remount my rad, just by taking the grill off rather than the whole front pannel, it was bloody fiddly and took me hours haha!

Just need to source some piping now and replumb and seal my snorkel woop!

A lot of faffing by the sounds of it  It should all be good now.

I checked on a bug I did not so long ago and I used 17.5 amp cable with a 20 amp fuse in with a SMALL electric fan from a dual fan setup on a Ford.

That is where I went wrong with your wires

Still, no major hassle :)

Yipee I have disk brakes all round:) no more brown trouser syndrome when some one anchors up on front of me:D:D went to buy a 24 spline diff yesterday and they wanted 50nicker for a diff or 80 nicker for a complete axle and they also offered to fit for free:) so I though let em do it:) glad I did as my old axle did not want to come off, took all day to change and they had to use oxy and acetylene to cut some of the old one off :D:D no more clunking from the drive train now:D which is good as I thought I may need to change the gearbox at some point, so I'm well chuffed:D:D:D

Matt not to worry about the axle now, will give ya a tinkle next week sometime;)

What do I need a tinkle for?

Where did you get the axle from Wangie? Good price that.

Place in Erith Kent they are called tdi breakers, don't think they usually fit but as I have bought me engine, tranny and both axles off them now they offered to fit it for me but still good for and disco bits if ya want their no let us know:)

Thank god for that, anybody can go in front of you now & not have to worry.;)
Free fitting as well, can't be bad. May have to dig my 24 out of the garage & fit mine if a can be asked. But i'd better sort out me hole in the outrigger first & look at the fuel tank cradle as well.

Still got my body mounts to finish bolting in and a few grommets to fit. I doubt I'll have time to fit sliders, tank guard, etc as I am now sorting something else a lot more important out. Also need to seal nooorkel and re-attach breathers.

I'll just have to watch what I do in Wales and go careful.

Well its not Landy or laning related, but its why I've not been on here recently.
