Now we just need to get her covered in some mud:)

Thanks for your help today Stu, hope you managed to make progress with the welding.
I'm going to try and finish the bearing on Monday night. I need to get a new circlip and I might put a new seal on just to be sure.

Wangie, thats looking really good. Just need to convert it to a soft top and you've built my dream Landy.

Well after a day of interesting happenings, stu is one foot forward.

Metal was so thin in places, it was a bastard to weld. Pigeon poo in places, coded welding standards in other places  Other places welded just fine......... Bloody discos lol :D

Still, it'll go through the MoT fine, as an "MoT repair".

Thats ok Nick, Just wish we had time to have finished it fully,

The welding took a bit longer then wanted, the Cill had more rot then thought, as did the Drivers side headlight, wing and battery box, so we had to fabricate new ones from scratch, the bottom of the A Piller was also a bit rotten so new one fabricated and welded in in the dark, lol. finished at about 10:45 tonight, the disco is still round Matts with no door and no wing.....

Thanks for your help today Matt and running me home...

Finsh off the front and onto the Rear Body mount tomorrow......

Looking good there Ian.....be good to see it.

Thats looking good mate. Getting a snorkel for more goes at the fords? They deestone tires or the goodyears?I had deestones on me 110 and the was unstopabble, bit noisy on road tho, sounded like a helicopter.

following on from last night, more holes found....:eek::eek::eek::eek::(:(:(:(:(

Passagner Rear seat belt mount rottern, cold not beleve how bad it was, it just looked like surface rust on the wheel arch, after trying to clean it up with a wire wheel....:eek: now replaced... :)

Cleaned up the surface rust on the boot floor coated the patches in Rust converter to get any thing that was left, just got to paint the floor now then that will be finished.

then loads of rot in the rear body mounts, after a day of many expletives and grunts and groans, we packed up until next weekend :(:(:(.

Thanks for your help again Matt.

I would Nick , I would have started earlier , but had no money at all a few months a ago. its not much different to Matts either, and his got a number of bits gone in different places. there don,t seem to be any rhyme nor reason to were you find it., or what it looks like when you do, the only way to find out how bad it is is to dig it out.........

Took mine down to Essex Offroad in Chelsmford today to test the new suspension. Well it works lol, went up and down things I never thought possible!

Damage report:
Reversed into a tree and busted a tail light, got another so no biggy
Put a few stratches on the drivers side, will be adding a third coat so not bothered also its gonna happen again next time I go off roading lol
Bent my back box coming down a vertical drop. Have now cut it off with a hacksaw and will need to get my side exit sorted. Back box was the only silencer I had left and so it now sounds like an angry tank! :D
Also caught my wheels on the bodywork so cutting the rear arches and back doors is high on the list.

Other jobs to sort out include new intercooler as mine is bolloxed. Fit my recently cranked front arms and re-locate the winch solenoids to a higher position in the engine bay.

Oh and convince someone to give me a free pair of diff lockers!!!
