Gutted we couldn't make it in the end, the bf didn't fancy the 2hr drive to the meet point after the long week he'd had at work, though I was up at 6 and wishing I could've just jumped in the disco (not insured on it till tues :mad:bloody Admiral). Oh well, great pics and I shall have have to christen the new(old) toy another day

Thanks for a great day out guys, good to put faces to names, some good pics there Nick little man has just seen them and is now doing his granny as he wants to go back out in the landy again(bless him) any way can't wait till the next outing.

Thanks for a great day folks. Especially Matthew for the ride.

I got a few pics on my phone and will try and upload them tomorrow as the laptops staying away for now.

Looks like I missed a bit of fun at Terling. What was the story with those guys in the water?

Geoff can you thank James for me for his good idea about the hose pipe, got about another mile down the road rafter you saw us and the pipe gave in so as James said I cut the split section away and managed to reconnect it :D was able to keep me toe down on the way home instead of limp home :D

It was the annual Terling fair, teams dress up and race prams down the hill and through the ford,it's an ancient Essex custom, the winners get to shag the losers wife i think.

Does look like a great day out.

Well took me 9 hours but my old gearbox is back on again. Not too bad I though as took me and my mate an hour to get the rounded bolt off that caused all the problems last week then I was on my own for the rest. Had to drag the box out and drag the new one under as I hadn't put the Disco on axle stands.
So box out, swapped hand brake, cable and cable mount, transfer box rear output shaft (so 300tdi speedo would fit), also swapped over the bell housing as my old one was cracked and changed over the clutch fork and slave cylinder.
Getting it bolted back up by myself was a bit of a mare but got there in the end.
Jobs left to do are re-fit the exhaust, re-fit 3 UJ nuts and fill the transfer box back up.

After seeing pics of the first lane in Braintree I'm tempted to get mine done and go up there tomorrow! :D

Thats good news Chris, you'll soon be out in the mud, :D:D:D:D:D:D

Thank you Matt for your help today with the Springs and Shocks, Just measured the floor to mid wheel Arch, and its 34", 34", 34" and 33 7/8" on the rear Passenger side, so as good as dam it level.... now the ride feels much better,:D:D still got a few squeaks, and knocks but will sort them out, lol
