Had a great time at the show this weekend, good to see Geoff, Matt, Chris, Brian, Brians not so little one, (sorry Name excapes me), And all the other guys that Showed up, the Courses, Offroad and Green Lane were good and a load of fun.

The Auto jumble could have been better, as could of been the anmount of Traders, but as a show that is a smaller one, it was a good one.

I got home and jumped in the shower , could not bear to start the Dust removal, just wished it had been a bit damper and not so dusty.

Good to meet Spike and Raffa as well

Was good to meet you too stu and hope to meet up very soon again :) on the whole the Saturday was awsome forehead first ever 4x4 show I've ever been to was ace or me :D had fun on the off road course (even if I nearly rolled the series in a rut lol ) and the green lane course was also brilliant :) all in all a good day out ... and spike tells me there's a greenlaing meet soon in Essex so will defo be coming if I can :D

Yeah good to meet local drivers always, I dont know about an essex green laning even from us lot, think most of us are going to newboure next sunday tho, to the SLROC driving day, the course you did at the show was a yellow, we have a white one which is a novice course, a yellow one different to the one at Roughham, a Black course which is harder and a winching area at newboure, you can only drive if you join SLROC but a driving day is £10, you can drive oon the day you join but must have a liecence and be a member, have a look at the website www.SLROC.com see what you think, caht to a few of the other on here, ie Discodad, Wickford90 Mathew2Riches as they are members and have been to driving days.

I'm now the proud owner of a Terrafirma 2" lift kit :D

I'll be getting accessory envy soon :p

Well it still needs the tracking doing as its pulling to right badly.

Nice one, bet it feels good to have Tiny back on the road (or rather off road).

Kept wondering if your all having fun, I took a quick drive down Debenham ford (mum lives close by), bone dry! and I can now confirm its a concrete patchwork surface.

Anyone got any photos?? Just checked on my phone and I didn't take one all weekend
Found a few video clips on youtube, searched for Rougham 2011 and then sorted by upload date. Like the look of the green lane course. Just a shame no rain!

Hopefully see you all Sunday.

I been going thro loads of fords as i drive around the area, and most are dry or just about wet. just have to wait till the winter, and put up with dust now.

I got tf202 Terrafirma Def90 / Disco1/ RRC Suspension Kit<br> | Suspension - Suspension kits Accessories for Land Rover Vehicles

That was the best of both. Springs that are too hard won't give much articulation and if they were too light they'd be no good for towing or decent road handling.

They were from MM and will be here Wednesday!!

Also looking at a set of modulars :D

Started emptying one of the sheds to get to the bender. Once it is moved out so I can get an 8x4 steel sheet on it, I'll start on replacing my sills and rear arches. Hopefully by the time they are cut and bent, it'll be summer for a week so I can get some welding done.

Only reason I've bought them is because mine are sagged to anything ;) Or that's the excuse anyway :D

I know.
My rear shocks have had it. The chaps at Mansfield keep suggesting a 2" lift as does Stu.
I'll hold out for the time being (not that I have a lot of choice anyway £££).
MOT in Oct, so I'll sort before then.

When are you fitting them? before Sunday ready for the SLROC driving day
If its OK, I wouldn't mind sitting in with you for a lap or two @ Newbourne. Would be interested to see how they perform.

Hopefully see you Sunday.

Hoping to get them done before Newbourne. And am hoping to come to driving day if I've got some cash spare. Started knocking holes in the sills today and seeing what other rot I can find. Might start on a few patches this week. If I start welding I will come to driving day but won't be doing any driving as I'll need to keep the areas clean :(

Hello nick. If you want to replace your rear dampers for now mine are only a month on the road and yours for £20.

My box of new toys arrived this afternoon :D

Got n/s rear shock and spring on. Bolts were very difficult to undo and there wasn't any room for the windy gun :( lots of cranking with a ratchet and they were finally off!

Can't believe how hard the new spring was to compress. Has actually bent a set of spring compressors so not holding out much hope on them :(

Will try and get remaining three done tomorrow.

Oh........ I really need a highlift extreme! Surprising how high you have to get it before the wheels lift off the ground!!

Good news there we like new toys....:D:D:D, you think the rears are bad and hard to do, wait for the fronts :D:D:D, you started on the easy ones.

If you get a Hi lift Jack the go for the 60", me, myself and I have the opinon that the 48" is too short, but thats just me, maybe a bit longer and harder to store, but hey when you need the extra inch's you got them:D:D:D.

I think i am going to have to sort my Shocks out in the vvvvvvvery near futrue, and soon.......

That's why I started on the rear ya 'nana :D

Pair of shocks here if you want them.

I will prob take you up on that very shortly mate...... well like this week, lol, thank you.

Been looking at a set this week , went in and spoke to our friend from Landypart, been speaking about both Bearmach and Britpart, still not made my mind up, seams to be 50/50 to which people like, I do like terrafirma big bore but realaity is I just cant afford them, so will have to go for something not as pricey.

Hopefuly be able to order them in the next couple of weeks.

I'd go Bearmach if you can't get the Terrafirma. The people who sell the stuff will recommend Britpart as the profit margins are bigger although they are a cheaper product.

Bearmach are the ones I was going to get but fell in love with the Terrafirma ones as they are shineeeeeeeeeey!

If I know someone who would want to buy my 2" shock's and maybe springs too it would probably get me to finally buy a +5.5" kit. ;)
