Managed to get it back to the barn but the engine is very much dead.
So now time to decide if I change the engine or break it.
 
Yer I do still have that engine but its the hassle of swapping my cam belt, pump etc over. Then buying oil, filters, oil pump plus actually getting one engine out a the other one in.

No not yet , have not had time to scratch my arse let alone balls about trying to get that sorted out, but it's on my to do list. Unfortunately ( or fortunately )I am snowed under with work still, was so ****ed last week I said bollox and took friday off switched my phone off and relaxed changing the bearing on the front wheel, mind you i am paying for it today phone has not stopped, and a load more work just come in.

Can do some lanes tomorrow. Finishing work at 8pm ish so can be at yours for around 8:30pm ;)

Stu - are you coming if we make it a date?

I'm deffo doing Newbourne this Sunday. Was going to go to the dog show at Suffolk Showground but can't be assed. Will be full of annoying kids as it's the holidays by the looks of it :rolleyes:

Suggest the Shell garage on the southbound A12 Just let me know the earliest time you can be there and I'll met you there.

Are you happy with Braintree area?
Hopefully Someone who knows the lanes well, will join us (either in their own truck or as a passenger). I can just about remember the ones that Stu planned out and I have an up to date OS map.
Is your snorkel all fitted?

There wants to be more than two of us really :doh:

If nothing else comes of it, we'll have to leave it until Sunday. It's an hour from me Braintree!

Snorkel is fitted, just got to seal all the connections up so no water yet. And even when it's on, I won't be driving through water for the hell of it - need it as a daily motor at the moment so can't be doing with engine or electrical issues.

Mainly on there for emergency and looks :cool:
 
Had fun yesterday afternoon getting the transfer box off. One bolt sheered off in the gearbox and another was in such a **** place to get too (needed long extensions) and was so tight the head has rounded off with it only half out :doh:

I now have to try and cut the head off the bolt and then when the box is off get some heat on it and try and get it out :rolleyes:

Well at least its not December i guess :D
