Yes I will it was a bit of tree dodging and a nice but mud pit at the start.
Nothing like you lot are used too. But a bit of fun.

Oh, forgot to mention. I got my Southdown the other day. Just waiting on supplies to spray it black.... I don't enjoy the silver colour.

Once the paint is baked then I shall fit it. Nick - you wanna come and do some Landy bashing one day and we can do them both? I have workspace for 2 landies and lots of pies. All tools here.

Yer that one is pretty easy as long as you dont hit a tree :D

Dont go up the one by Dunton on your own at the moment, some big muddy ruts so you can easily get into trouble.

This is a debate that crops up oftern,

Maps on a Phone, Laptop or a seperate PDA.

This is how i see it use a laptop it has to be a small note book due to the rubustness of the hard drive in a normal hardtop, the size makes it a pain to locate and power requirements mean that a 12v to 240v inverter is required,

If you use the phone then you got the problem of jumping between map/phone funtions, also if one the phone goes wrong your nackered in both funtions, also power usage, not such a problem if you got a in car charger.

PDA to me gives you the funtionality of a single item ie you can read the map while on the phone ..... this has hapend to me when lost before and trying to locate the rest of the party, A PDA can just be put in pocket if you jump out the motor unlike a latop. at the price you can get them off ebay they as cheap as chips, I also hve a PDA with a 4" TFT VGA colour display, so the image is of good quality, where as the screens on some phones are a bit too small at dash lengh to read.

I also carry my laptop with Memory Map on, and a set of paper maps as a back up

It's got to look good for Morocco, if I'm allowed to quit work for a while   ! Chance would be a fine thing

LOL, give it a couple of months and we will get together and have a chat about Morroco, I'll show everyone what I done so far, then we can sort a date and start to work towards going.

Just got back from Landypart saw your in the Workshop with the bonnet up, mines been done now, good service there, just a new bearing no hub or stub shaft required, now £74 lighter, which i must admit, took the worry off me for the day......

Mines alive!!!!
New starter arrived today so stuck that on along with a freshly charged battery and after not being run for 5 weeks it took 1 turn to fire into life.
Pumped up a flat tire and put it straight to work pushing a wheel-less Golf onto my trailer lol.
Also stuck a horn off a merc van on it

Still got a fair few things to do but I hope to get it MOT'd by the end of next week.

Would I be using map and phone at same time??
I can use the phone while looking at maps.
But your right about in car charger. It's a must
