Hello,

LR 110 3.5 V8 1987

when i start my cold engine, and let it stand in idle for up till 5 minutes, i am having a odd problem.

When i am shifting into 1. gear and driving about 10 - 300 meters, theres is a problem with the gas when i am shifting to a higher gear.
The RPMs raises but the car doesn't go faster.
Instead the car goes into idle, and i have to drive the car on lots of gas and the clutch.
The problem are solved when i get it into 2. gear and shifting into 3. gear, then i can drive for ever without any problems.
It is only with a cold engine.

Any suggestions?

video.??.cos you describing slipping cluch or fecked autobox..ie if revs increase but no go then....

so better description or vid of issues please.

Here is a better description:

I can start the cold engine without any problems, and it runs fine in idle.
When i starts to drive in 1. gear there is usually no problems, but when i am shifting to 2. gear the engine stalls, and i have to give it a lot more power to keep it running.
After i get it in 2. gear and so on, theres no problem, and if i stops the car and the engine, and starts in idle, driving in 1. gear and shifting to 2. gear theres no problem. It is only when the engine is cold.
i will try and make a video, but i am afraid it won't show anything useful.

sounds like the lpg ecu gas or vaporiser temp sender could be fecked..causing it to think its up to temp thus not allowing the gas mixture to be richer when cold...

OR if yours is single point, ie running carbs it could just need adjusting of the lpg "power valve" to richen it awee bit..

OR you just running it too cold ..ie vaporiser just not able to supply gas..if single point vaporiser relys upon vacumn to work..so also check for vac leaks.

It was quite simple, i released the choke to early. after i did some test drives and waited to release the choke about 2-3 minutes, the engine was warm enough to take the petrol :clap2:
