Hello Landy peeps
Im' new to this site and game of Land Rovers.

My Landy is a 1970 Series 2A Truckcab 2/4 Diesel,

The Problem is, I am having to stop the engine with the Clutch (ie in gear foot on breaks release Clutch).

I have replaced the Stop Cable but still nothing, I have moved the linkage that cable goes to up and down again nothing...

I would be greatfull if any one has any ideas about this
cheers
Rob

The only other part that would cause this is the lever on the side of the injection pump, if you move this by hand and the engine still doesn't stop then the fault is inside the pump which will req a specialist repair

If thats the case diesel pump repairs don't ussualy come cheap..
I'm sure there will be a local specialist, nearest one here i think is Walsh and Midgley in Blackburn, not cheap but they do a good job.
Best of luck
