I am having problems again with my TD4 Freelander 1.
Symptoms are as follows:
Engines starts ok and revs with no problems.
As soon as I drive off, accelerate and pass 2000 RPM the engine loses power and it goes into partial limp mode.
The engine management light illuminates and eventually the engine will be starved of fuel.
However if I switch off the ignition and restart the engine the management light extinguishes and the car revs ok until I accelerate away and pass 2000 revs then it repeats the same problem.
Is this a symptom of a broken hi pressure fuel pump? or something else?
