Okay dokey it' running again
Massive thanks everyone and especially to @neilly for all his help via text and phone, I had to get a cheap britpart pump and filter (turns out its the wrong filter with no water sensor) so just left plug hanging, went through purge cycle 3 times, fired up but only idling then after a minute it came back to life and runs lovely.
Thanks peeps. X x

Great stuff glad she's running well again.

All good news, the sensor is taken off of the old filter and refitted to the new filter. Sorry missed that on the phone call, I thought you meant the sensor connection was missing on the vehicle.

Cheers
Ah yes I didn' even think of doing that, I didn' lob the old filter so will pop that on the new filter tomorrow.

There is a filter on the intank fuel pump that can get blocked also check fuel pressure regulator as i have had problems with both these in the past.
