The engine won't go down through the chassis rails even if you could get the car high enough and also support the weight of the engine and box.
A lot of black smoke would tend to indicate un-burned fuel. So sounds like over fuelling. Presumably you've checked it's breathing ok, ie nice clean air filter, no obstructions fallen in to intake pipe?Posting after a very long time, I did not have a lot of time to work on car. almost finished with it now. Starts up fine, no check engine lights, however when I press the throttle it starts to 'shudder' and cuts out.
During this it blows black smoke. Someone told me that it might be over fueling?

Without any load on the engine ie it's not pulling the weight of the vehicle, it shouldn't need much help from the turbo to rev up.Yeah, going to take it to the dealer and see what they can do about it. Could the turbt valve be stuck and as such not draw enough air?
