When
They say Computerised I would imagine that's a log if their stock what's been checked and what hasn't .

No you do it for me. If he immersed it and turned it and it was not pumping why did he fit it? Only someone with half a brain would fit a second hand oil pump of unknown quantity anyway. Without checking it's internals first. A new pump would have been the way to go.

So you now call Terrain Vehicles incompetent? They were changing the timing chain cover, the oil pump is attached, tested part you submerse it in oil for a day then fit, no?

You also miss my point about service.... you surely dont instruct your staff to hang up if they cannot resolve a query do you?

Oh them on the 259 on the way to eastbourn I know of them:(

Our office staff are trained to deal with difficult customers but wont tolerate abuse over the phone & judging by your demeanor on here then .......well?

I wouldn't fit a used oil pump anyway but your fitter should have ensured it was actually capable of pumping oil at the very least, leaving it soaking in oil is not the way to check for correct operation. ;)

My demeanor? I am complaining about poor service, if that is rude I apologise.

I deal with difficult customers every day. I work for one of the large UK companies who get regular complaints, they are all handled in a relevant matter. I was not rude.

For not checking it was working before it was fitted. What would you call it? You fill with oil and check it's function no need to soak it for a day just squirt some in it and turn it make sure it's pumping. On a pump of unknown quantity strip and examine. They maybe able to pull the wool over your eyes but it won't work with me.

I reckon you are asking for a writ for libel:)

How? I experienced an issue with service, I am commenting on it, there is nothing libelous in that. I have stated facts about the service I received. Fact is not libelous

Well if nothing else you're getting your post count up. :D:D:D

What is the point of blubbering about it on here, why not take it up with the top man/woman at Emmotts. ;)

Insulting the girl on the phone will not get you anywhere. Try not to do this if you escalate this yourself & speak with the owner.

And that is what I will do. It appears that everyone else on here rates them. I'm sure that if you break vehicles you are going to have a small failure rate. I was annoyed that they did not appear to want to try and resolve my problem in any other way apart from send the part back.
