There's Turner engineering too although there have been a few horror stories with v8s there in recent years.

What's the specific issue with Turner. My engine was rebuilt by Turner about 7 years ago by the previous owner. Runs great, but if there are issue to come I'd like to know what to expect.
I believe being a Turner engine it will have top hat liners which I very much like the idea of.

Thank you Grrrrr
If it is the rings and they have knackered the bore then the engine will have to come out. I would replace the engine whilst the original is rebored if required as seems may take a while.
Would get it top hatted too as doubt that was done as she is a 1995 vehicle altho has done pretty well at 206k.
With a bit of luck she just needs heads done.

CME in Bracknell are good for engine stuff. They could advise on rebore or perhaps liners. https://cmesuk.com/

they did a nice head & block reface for my project. They also pressure test at 40deg plus.

Couple of people have had engine rebuilds and then cams have gone shortly afterwards as if starved of oil. Might just be luck or a newbie not quite getting something right. With so much riding on it, can you risk it? V8 developments a safer bet but they to have lost their machinist and got somewhat behind.
