Many years ago I had checked a plane for dispatch from maintence but it needed de-icing before it got towed to the departure stand. Weather was freezing, lots of delay, schedualler shouting on the radio every minute. Hour for the de-icer to arrive, it works 5 mins and stops. Its out of fluid. Another freezing hour waiting (I'm in the cockpit with no power, -5) up comes the service truck and drum. Nothing, back on the radio "he's poured it in the fuel tank..." 1/2 hour to shift change?
