hi guys strange one this, I was driving the car yesterday and randomly the passenger side rear window started to open, I hit the up button on the drivers and it closed, only to open on its own again, so I used the disable switch on the drivers door and it was fine. Now as soon as I re-enable the rear window switches the rear passenger window opens, if I let it open fully I can't close it until I disable the rear switches again.

Not having a clue how the windows are wired anybody got any ideas what could be causing this?

Dr Foster went to Gloucester in a shower of rain, he stepped in a puddle right up to his middle and never went there again o_O

I believe it may be the anti-crush sensor (the one that stops it jamming your kid's head in the door) playing up. May need connection looking at. Worthwhile getting the Door crd off and checking wiring.

Cheers guys, just to throw something else into the mix I noticed last night that I can't open the passenger rear window from the drivers door switches if I have the disable switch engaged

Just Sussed it, it turns out the window switch on the rear door is faulty, unplug the switch and full control from the drivers door returns as it should. So just for good measure I swapped rear switches left to right and the fault moved to the opposite side. Luckily this will be a cheap fix

Anti crush is not a sensor it is 'sensed' through increased amperage drawn by motor when it stalls.

Didnt give me a chance to say " its the rear window switch" . Had exactly the same on mine this week. New rear switch sorted it right out.

baffles me why it failed there is only ever me in the car and i never use the rear window switch lol

I had a similar problem on my Mercedes Sprinter AFTER I had left the window open and rain soaked the switch... Which is why I suggested it.

New switch cured it.

All's well that ends well :)

well i got a new window switch through on sat and i'm yet to fit it, yesterday just driving along with the rear windows disabled via the switch on the drivers door and suddenly the rear window goes down on it's own........................everything now appears to be working as it should again
