Right chaps. Picture yourselves in Solihull between 1994 and 2002 on the night shift. You're having a game of brag and the gaffer comes up and says "Three more to finish off tonight, any ideas on what EKAs to give them?"
That is clearly bolleaux but we know that LR know what they are. Not the sort of thing the night shift would remember. We know that LR need the Registration Certificate and ID. Fair do's.
The question is, do they have a "Big Book" of EKAs or do they work it out from the Reg Cert. The only thing on that that would be of interest to them is the VIN so I had a look at mine.
Have a look at the last six digits of the VIN - say 324544
Now split those x/xx/xxx - Add the digits before and after the /s. In this example it would be 3/2+4/5+4+4 = 3/6/13 or EKA 3613
Now, it may just be a coincidence but it works out on mine. Numbers I've provided are bogus - don't know why I bothered.
Could you have a look at yours and report back?
