Hi all,
I recently got a gorgeous D2 TD5 2001.. I ordered an EGR delete kit which arrived today.. looking forward to spending saturday morning tinkering and fitting the kit.. but i read earlier that there are different TD5 engines and that from around 2002 they went from P10 to P15 engines which resolved many issues.. One poster asked how to tell the difference, there was mention of a serial number near the centrifugal oil filter but i cant see anything, it was also mentioned that the better P15 has a water cooled EGR pipe fron the exhaust manifold and external fuel return pipe not internal like the P10... mine has a water cooled EGR pipe as far as i can tell and i think i have spotted an external fuel return pipe, please see the pics.. so can someone confirm or otherwise that my 2001 landy has a p15/16 engine, and if it does then what do i do with the water supply to the EGR pipe, or have i bought the wrong delete kit..

OK bit of Youtube searching and i found a video that shows leaving the EGR water cooler in place and just remove the 2 metal flexi pipes... i do have wrong kit because correct kit has 2 extra blanks for the EGR cooler pipe.. Question, why not just remove the one flexi pipe from the EGR valve to the EGR cooler and blank it off there, thus not risking shearing those stubborn stud on the manifold? also means i dont have to order 2 more of the small blanking plates and feel such a wally..
