i bought a l reg 110 defender pick up for £3500 and it only had 88,000 recorded miles with full service history so they are out there you just ahve to be a bit patient and have a good look around.

Welcometo the forum by the way .:D

Oooooooooo...Another Landy loving girly and local too.

I got my 90 from a local Surrey dealer and hubbys 110 came from there too. Both vehicles have been excellent, ok you pay more on the price but there were no nasty mechanical or bodywork surprises. (or were we just lucky:rolleyes: )

Dont discount the 2.5dt powered ones. Mine manages 28mpg, steering and pedals are heavier then my Honda Civic but Im only little and I dont have problems with achy arms and legs after a long drive.

you need to rush straight roond to yer local dealer and get it checked. 4x4 steering and pedals stiffer than a car's!!!!!!!! sounds like summin is far rong

:D Nought wrong with my cars but perhaps hubbys 110 thinks its a 'ickle car' then as its clutch is lighter then the Honda:p

why a 110, if you dont need the space a 90 is much easyer to use as a car, parking etc etc, i had a 90 with a fake americam softop, role cage etc, loved it, both in the country and in london, i think the 110 may have been a little anoying in the city and if you are normally in a clio, the size difference will matter.(chuckle)

I got about 28 to the gallon, flogged it down the M4 and it was quite nippy around the lanes of gloucestershire. Tyres are not cheep but the big thing is if you buy well, and look after it, it will hold its value better than most cars. I paid 8.5k for mine, did a few bits to it and when it was nicked 18months latter the insurace gave me 9.5K.

Most important, i loved it, and london taxis moved over, now thats a first.

Drive a 90 and a 110 before you decide, its a different feel to me, and we all like a good feel(sorry couldnt resist)
