You miss the point, The computer is with Alan, and Alan is not a computer buff by his own admission. He wouldn't know anything about it with a script that overwrites on login, hence the shell:startup folder.

Marty has one laptop with Alan's Faultmate, Alan has a Win 10 laptop with the EAS suite that has previously worked.I thought Marty had his laptop with the Faultmate?
Just been back and reread. Yes, Marty has his second laptop and is playing with the drivers, just as I thought.
Get an older Rangy even better. Tried to phone Flat B the other day a couple of times but got the answer machine, hate them.Get an old laptop with a serial port never fails.
No Marty doesn't have any of my laptops, he has my Faultmate leads and disks. the EAS unlock download is on my old laptop which is running Windows 10. The obd to usb lead and the laptop is the equipment I've been using for years, now it's not showing anything in the Rd buffer column. I've stripped the obd plug out and there is no sign of corrosion,I was about to pin out the socket when I was called inside because Herself has had a scam email, why she couldn't just delete and forget it I don't know. Marty thinks the problem with the connection between the Faultmate and the laptop is the series to usb adapter. He's getting another, testing it on his laptop before he sends it back. The trouble is I sent him a disc with the eas unlock on it, I don't have it downloaded on my other laptop.Confusing isn't it, oh how I wish I still had my Classic.
Good news Alan.Yes did that yesterday Tony, after you phoned I changed the fuse and relay 20. Pinned out the obd plug everything checked out,so put everything back together and Guess what it worksEither by good luck or judgment but it WORKS. Thanks Everyone Stay safe
It sure is Keith, thanks for your input.Good news Alan.
The EASunlock must have heard us talking and was frightened into action. I'll go to the foot of our stairs.Yes did that yesterday Tony, after you phoned I changed the fuse and relay 20. It may well have done Tony, ,after we spoke I remembered that I found my welding nozzle file set during a clean up of the garage the other week so I used a fine one to make sure the socket contacts were clean, perhaps that did the jobHandy bit of kit photo for anyone who's not sure what I'm talking about. The EASunlock must have heard us talking and was frightened into action.
