Wammers if the diagpham opens to let it air in what stops it comming out tought you said once diaphragm closes its a one way pipe sorry got it nrv 1 doh

If nrv one is leaking you can feel it out of exhuast filter in v block but only if its a good leak that's why I've done the ballon trick I stood there for ages and no leak
It was so slow

The gallery used for filling the tank is the same one used to exhaust air from the bags. When the compressor is running it is sealed by the diaphragm solenoid valve opening and pressurising the underside of the diaphragm sealing the exhaust port. Air then passes along the gallery and to the tank via NRV1 which seals it in the pressure storage side of the system. When the compressor stops the diaphragm solenoid valve closes, and the pressure holding the diaphragm valve shut, is exhausted through the small 4 mm pipe into the loom. At the same time the gallery is exhausted of high pressure air through the exhaust port past the diaphragm valve which is now only being held on it's seat by a spring. Balloon will work but you then can't tell if it's lower pressure air from a bag or higher pressure air from the tank. Could be either.

Quick update. Left car parked on full height last night. Still there this morning. Not a mm drop. Will try the tests suggested later today.

The problem with that Rachel is that the leaks open and close where the bags fold under, so they may seal at max height but not at lower heights, try leaving it at motorway height and see if it drops.

Also should of left it overnight to test tank drain its a big tank, if its a slow leak will take ages empty .
Always tomorow . I still say the comp will pop on every now and then

It will but it's the 3 minute run when dropping to access height that is not normal.
 
Thanks guys. Eh, embarrassed to say this, how do you get it to Motorway height? I assume you mean with the software?

Press the lock button next to the up down button, then press the down button and it will go to motorway height if it started at normal height.:D I use it a lot to bring the tow hitch to the right for my small trailer, in fact I run at motorway height most of the time now, I think the automatic up down is just a gimmick, nice to be able to select the other heights when needed though.
 
You can select it whilst driving, then engage EAS inhibit button to lock it. It will stay in motorway height until inhibit is pressed again.

Wammers I think you can lock it in any mode with inhibit switch pressed .

Removed silencer after pump stopped running, couldn't really feel any air. Makes a bloody noise when the pump kicks in doesn't it.!!!

I am following Keith advice now, set on motorway height. Will leave it for a week, see if I get a drop. At least I will know how the backs are doing.

Since the pump is serviced now, and don't know car history, may just purchase a valve block off Kurt! Can't face doing the service thing! If that doesn't fix it, then will have to move up and down the air lines with a spray. Anyway, let's see how the air bags do this week!

So, to remove the air lines from the valve block,

a) do you just push the brass bit in with long nose pliers?
b) to put the pipe back it is the reverse? I. E. Push brass bit down, push in the air pipe, then release brass bit?
c) do you need a sealant to put around the air pipe to seal it when you pop in into the brass bit?

Also going to check plugs on front sensors, as they were very lose.

You have EASunlock i believe, empty the tank and evacuate the system. Push collet in pull pipe out to put back in smear of silicone grease on pipe and just push in. No need to press on collet. Fill system and let it rise then push in a little further.

Yes A, is correct
To refit air lines just gently push air lines home and pull back on the air line so the Colette grips the air line ,no need to push collets in they will grip air line once pushed in, I use a fine smear of Vaseline on the end of each air line when I refit air lines helps with sealing.

Or she could get a refurbed one from Rimmers a snip at £1086.94 but that does include VAT. An dat is alorra cash for a few O'rings innit. :D:D

Bloody hell, I only want the cost of the O rings and diaphragm, I think the postage will kill it though.:)
