and cant find any soft ware drivers to install to get it talking to my p38 any help is appreciated

tried that but no joy all iget is com port closed any idears

Are you useing a USB to serial converter? If so you will need a new driver, or you will have to buy a new convertor with a Vista Driver. Try Maplin:D

thanks for input my laptop says that its running best drivers available (when ive searched for up dates)
also says that comms is closed is this due to the converter?
also why will it run on xp and windows 7?
any idea's?

all done thanks for all the advice
did every thing the same as before but for some reason it worked this time
noticed on the ride height section that the rhs is a couple of units down on all heights
whats the best way to adjust it from in side on the lap top and trust the screen or outside with a tape measure and from what point to what point what sort of values should i be going for ?

I'm in Bristol (well 10 miles south of) I've got EAS Unlock on a laptop and an EAS Kicker if either are of any use to you?

PM me if you still need a hand.

You could try downloading windows .net framework software to unlock zip files. I had same problem with this emachine laptop. Could not get EAS software or workshop manual for Jaguar to open till I downloaded a bunch of software directly from microsoft update service to open wmv and zip files. Try that. It should make a difference. You will need a serial connector to convert from USB ports to fit the DB9F legacy cable on ther end of the interface cable. Good luck.
