time for more of a google then mate, the power steering fault seems to be very common so it tracing back to being either mechanical or electrical ...
used my allcomms today for the first time to clear my SRS battery disconnect unit fault.
i am all back together again after mine blew its top hose of last week and i did the 80 degree mod as well which is well worth it and a piece of wee to do

Had an email from Storey Wilson on a different email account so it's looking like there is an issue with the RSW account.
Anyway, I've sent him my log file for him to look through and hopefully I can get it sorted.
He did say he would post his findings here when he's had a look through.
Fingers crossed.
All Comms is a great bit of kit, don't get me wrong and I'm sure in time, it will prove to be very useful.

Luckily for me. Cheers mate, when all the niggling jobs are done I'll do the lifters then it'll be a rare Range Rover cos there'll be nothing wrong with it lol
 
The All Comms software tool will store the original configuration string from the L322 Range Rover Body Control Module before any changes are made. That configuration string is stored in the log file directory and is prefixed with the label, “Defaults”. If something goes awry, you can retrieve your original BCM configuration string and recode your BCM. Make sure you are using at least version 3.0.0.23

The Defaults file will store a BCM configuration string that looks something like this:
<MKIII_BPM_Debug_Get< 01:20 Thursday, 01 December 2016
>00:16:A0:FA:9C:ED:13:00:98:B1:00:37:AB:9F:83:00:93:FF:02:AA:F5:B6:>

Take you configuration string and open up the All Comms software.
Go to the “Body Module Debug” section.
Press the “Open” button. (Wait 5 Seconds)
Erase the contents of the textbox and paste the original configuration string into the textbox. The sting format should look like the following
00:16:A0:FA:9C:ED:13:00:98:B1:00:37:AB:9F:83:00:93:FF:02:AA:F5:B6:
Press the “Write” button. (Wait 5 Seconds)
The original BCM configuration string should now have been written to the BCM.
You can verify the new string by pressing the "open" button again.
The new string should be shown in the text box.
 
Thanks very much for that, I was trying to write the original string back using this method last weekend but it looked shorter than the string you have posted so I'll find that one and give it a go.
I assume that is my string in your reply?

It's back to its old self again, can't thank you enough Storey for getting my car back to normal but the real hero is Mr HolidayChicken who had the idea of emailing Storey and linking this thread, smart man and a real help...... Thanks mate.

I guess this now closes my EAS reset, on to the next bodge.
 
No Problem mate and good news !! i'm really glad we managed to get in touch with Storey via the forum and you have learnt some new skills with the All Comms in the process.:)
I think the All Comms is the best kit you can get for our era RRs and was concerned when i thought storey had gone off line as I recommend it all the time.

Shame it can't fix your tapping!
