The software probably isn't syncing with the BECM properly, either dodgy USBtoSerial drivers (best to use an old laptop with a real serial port) or the OBDII socket on the car could be dodgy - not uncommon. Plenty of threads on here discussing the issue - use search.

just found the fault its cos im running win 7 64bit its fell out with it self no compatible drivers :mad:

I have used the EAS Software on a Laptop running Win7x64 using a Serial Adpator I have had since about 2002....I attached the USB Adaptor, told Win to search the web for the best driver using Win Update...loaded driver...used Device Manager to find out the Comm Port Number...opened EASUnlock....set the port number....connected and bingo was his name-o......

Cleared the faults out, unplugged etc and up she jumped - don't believe me, ask Dopey - it was his P38 I did the work on!!

Mine works, I think datatek mentioned somewhere before about downloading framework ?????????/ he will put you right :)
You need netframework to run the software, but I assume he has the software running but it is not connecting due to duff USB to serial adaptor drivers.

Those figures look like wading height. Do you get the green good idle button?
Access figures should be lower than any other height.

just done that when i checked the properties of the device this is what it said This device cannot start. (Code 10)

Some USB to serial adaptors using the Prolific chip are Chinese clones and it's very difficult to get them working. Adaptors using the FTGD chip are reputedly better and easier to get working.

I got my USB to serial adaptor from Maplin, it was not cheap but I was in a hurry at the time as the car was on the bump stops. It has worked on every computer I've tried it on. You could also try CPC.
