HELP

I always get help from you guys when I have a problem.
My p38 diesel has been great for ages until now.
My problem is eas related.
When driving the eas lights will randomly go to the highest setting and all the lights come on indicating eas fault.
the car remains stable but requires plugging in to reset.

the fault codes are vehicle moved and pressure high, I have changed the switch but to no avail it still happens. A new pump was fitted not long ago, the bags are not old and in good condition.

Can you help as I am going to be towing a horse trailer soon and want this resolved.

Cheers guys hope you can help me.

Vehicle has moved means nothing, pressure high could be a number of things. Try removing the exhaust filter on the valve block, if the dryer dessicant is breaking up it can get blocked.

Eas getting high on the drive is usually a dodgy height sensor.

Pressure constantly high is very rarely the switch but more often the drive box.

i think its original as i havent changed it in the 8 years I have owned it.

I dont think they are expensive. is there a particular source for these?

Thanks for the advice

Cheers

ill check the filter.

How can I check the sensors?

Thanks guys

If it was a height sensor problem it should log a height sensor fault, but worth pulling the connectors off and looking for corrosion, do this with a door or the tailgate open so the EAs does not know what you are doing.
If it's not the exhaust filter, I would agree with 996turbo, could be the driver pack but could also be connectors inside the EAS box or bad earths:)
