Hi All,
Went to the shops yesterday and it was like off roading, It was as though there was no suspension on it, just rubber wheels.
The warning on the dash came on with EAS Failure. I put the Nanocom on the car and there was no readings on the height readouts.
Nanocom just locks up when on EAS and says unable to connect. All the lights on the switch light up but are very slow to change.
Any Ideas?.

Go into the tech archive top left of the range rover homepage and have a look for an easy thread by the late Wammers it runs through the testing of the system, but more than lightly a bag has gone or the pump is worn out from feeding a leak.

Found an air leak on the o/s/rear suspension pipe. Fitted a new pipe then started the engine to see if it lifted the body.
It did not lift at all so I connected the nanocom to see if there where any faults. Now the engine will not start. I must have messed up the immobilizer by pressing the wrong buttons on the nanocom. Can anyone explain the photos to me please.

Look at these.

Look at these.
The first photo shows EKA with the option to click on the "Disable" button.
The photo showing "Set new to robust"; "Set new to non robust"; "security learn" is a dangerous one, the only function you should use is the "security learn" button. This is used when the engine ECU and BECM have lost sync which means the engine cannot be started. The first 2 buttons are only applicable to fitting a new ECU.
I know how to do a security learn on the diesel, but it's different on the V8 as a rolling code is used so I do not know how it works.

Thanks, Mine is a 2001 2.5 diesel. I have pressed all of the three buttons, I hope I haven't messed it up.

In that case you will have to do a security re-learn. You have to read the security code from the diesel EDC and then write it to the BECM. Not sure exactly how you do it with Nanocom, I have a Faultmate, but I guess that the security learn button should take you through it.
Never touch the other 2 buttons, they are for installing a brand new ECU which can be set to run with with or without a security code.

Well Good Buddie, you have saved me again. Found the code as you said then put it into the ECU and started first time. All I have to do now is test the air compressor to see why the air tank is not filling. That's a job for tomorrow with my apprentice ( the wife ).
Cheers.

Well done! Never activate any function on Nanocom unless you know exactly what it does :)

Checked compressor today and I can stop the air coming out. Ordered a new one which is being delivered tomorrow, I will let you know what happens. :stars:

You can easily overhaul the compressor with a new piston seal, sometimes a new cylinder is needed as well. Not expensive
Hi, The compressor came three days late, fitted the two rear pipes which I found had a slight leak. The compressor works fine but the suspension does not work

I put it on eas reset tool and got a list of faults longer than my arm. Any Ideas.?
