Not a competition, just its all there in the tech archive, @wammers took the trouble etc.You should be on the Disco section.Sorry Alan, didn’t realise it was a competition. I’m not going to look it up, don’t have EAS thank god.
Datateks not bad mind. He’s coming along...
If you read the posts, the bags are very old and need replacing in any case if the OP wants the EAS to be reliable.Pipes gone from exhaust would be fortunate, cheaper than bags.
Read wammers post in the tech section
I wouldnt recommend to go to a garage as in my experience. very few garages are up to speed on EAS stuff. The experts are here.
the OP wants the EAS to be reliable.
One last thing, will the RWS software actually tell me where any leaks might lie? As in some of the locations mentioned already?
Or will I need to crawl round with squirty bottle of soapy water?
It will definitely be a garage job to change out the airbags though, I'm just not set up for that kind of job I'm afraid.
Very grateful indeed for everyone's kind input.
Diagnostics will not show where the leaks are. changing the airbags is a very easy job.One last thing, will the RWS software actually tell me where any leaks might lie? As in some of the locations mentioned already?

It is highly likely the thermal switch has failed due to compressor overheating constantly feeding a leak. Checks for that are included in my EAS post in tech archive. I have tried to make it as simple and easy to follow as possible. If you don't feel confident copy it and take it to the garage for them to do the checks.
Yes possibly destroyed thermal switch you were warned. Thanks Wammers. Been through your post.
Continuity on the compressor between orange n black.
Compressor runs nice and strong with good output when powered directly to black and green.
However, with my clumsy claws I did touch the positive feed against the orange connection at one point. Now there's no continuity bt orange and black. Have I completely f#cked a perfectly good compressor, or is it something easily rectified?
The thermal switch can be replaced although the part is now reputedly hard to come by, there was another thread on the subject recently.
@Aliztur As you're not sure of your capabilities, but now have all the theoretical knowledge. Have you tried posting in Regional LZers, for someone who may help you, in return for coffee and cake?
No I hadn't, but thanks.
I have seen videos of how to replace the airbags, but I can only park on the side of a residential side street so even if I had the right jack and axel stands, I'd be stopping work and getting out of the road every thirty seconds to let a Tesco delivery van go past....
I'll see if there's someone local with a laptop, cable and RWS software. My kids also make good cake. Thanks for the tip.
Sorry. Hitchin, Hertfordshire.Where's local? Cannot see a location.
Once you have resealed the valve block, the air drier there's not much more 6o go wrongSorry. Hitchin, Hertfordshire.
Update - I have arriving tomorrow cable to connect car to computer and RWS software to diagnose and clear fault code.
New air bags ordered. New compressor ordered. Hope that's it.
Thanks for all your help.
