I'm struggling to find rod length measurements looked in workshop manual under brakes and theres rebuilding master cylinder calipers etc but nothing about rod length or where to measure it from. Any one know?

I will see what I can find in the Land Rover maintenance book later, I am sure it’s in there

NRC 9529 is the correct one.
Paddocks have a seal kit at just £6 ish.
Pop one in your old one and see if the brakes are better.
One clip, a good clean and pop it in.
Did you get the right servo if you got a new one.
Did you try each wheel for locking up with someone pushing the pedal as mentioned previously.
Is the servo pipe in the right place on the engine.

The wrong mc was on landy when I got it I think servo is type 80.
I'll have more time Saturday to check everything

I'll be interested to see the cause of this - the brakes on my 1985 90" were pants too. New calipers, a master rebuild kit and new servo have sorted it and the brakes are now very powerful. I did fit drilled and grooved discs, but I really doubt if they make much difference.

Right dig out my spare MC and I can’t find a part number on it :s

Here it is, what’s it look like compared to your new and old ones?

That's what's turned up off that part number says 15/16 on side which I suppose is bore size.
It's a bearmach part.

will have a look at mine under the bonnet tomorrow, looks like my spare is the same as the one on your lap though

Yes It must be different bore size as with 110 m/c it was very hard to stop.
Brakes worked i had been round them countless times.
But with 90 mc they are "normal"
I'm well pleased.

Yeah 110 MC has a larger bore and the 110 callipers have larger pistons as-well

All sorted though so good :)

Yeah
Thanks for the help flat.
I've got a potential buyer coming later today so fingers crossed.
I can then get on with my series 2
