Morning everyone,

Currently having an issue with my v8 where the injectors won't trigger for love nor money. I have gone through the service manual tests and everything passes in spec bar the temperature sensor in the AFM (2.6Kohms where seemingly should be 2.4ohms.) As far as I am aware that should make no odds to the lack of triggering.
If I am right the only thing that will cause this is an ECU fault or a fault with the trigger wire from the coil to pin 1. It has passed the test in the manual with the jumper wire from coil neg to connector though, and the over run relay is all good. I am using the 2CE amplifier not the ballast resistor by the way.

Before I go ECU hunting has anyone got any insights? Or I don't suppose anyone is around the Cambridge area with a spare 4CU ECU? Beer tokens at the ready!

Thanks in advance
Peter

Them ECUs are getting old now and depending on age so is the efi loom so double check all the cable and connectors as the wire on the early ones is so fragile!
A spare ecu is a good idea as you can swap out as a fault finder.

I have flapper ecus but in the midlands.

All the ecus suffer with dry solder joints and can be re soldered.

Hey Pete

Thanks for the advice, I sent off the ECU to ATP Electronics who had it running for 4 hours and all seemed well apparently. I've got the loom off at the moment to go through it visually hoping there is a fault there but the tests all came back fine as I said.
I don't suppose anyone know she correct resistance figures for the thermal resistor in the air flow meter? The Manual shows a low reading but I've seen else where it should be KOhms
