Get the modulation spot on at 50% with the engine at 95C and all the hot start problems go away I have one on 136K miles and one on about 250K kilometres and the FIP's are fine.Don't see many cylinder heads gone really but chain-stretch is an issue for hot-start. FIP ideally refurbed after 120k but it will keep going regardless. I've still not done my chains and it isn't much worse on modulation.

And old (2 valve) BMW boxer bike carbs. How to **** an owner off, no spanner required, just remove the wire clip and watch the float bowl drop off.Better still a clip like they have on those bottles of Grolsh.
