the cc is usualy somthin simple like a hose off or split, try tracing the hoses back from the diaframy bit.

you have got the cc turned on via the isolator switch on the dash i azume?

hiya Ivor, yup this is what i do
1. i press the master switch on the dash
2. then set speed lets say 60 mph
3. then hit the gas untill I reach speed 60
4. but only to get 3 bleeps and no cruise

am i doing this wrong ?

I wouldnt have a clue where these hoses are or what they look like

Teddy

Could be just what happened to mine when I first bought my RR.....the hoses had perished and a gaping hole stopped the cruise control from working. Its a simple fix and cheap enough to get done at an independent garage.

The possible bad news is that this **MAY** (read not for sure), but your air conditioning hoses could also be in about the same condition and therefore may start to leak and become faulty....again that's what's happened to mine.....both went at the same time.

hopefully your masta switch should luminate.

you need to be doin at least 30mph or more, i think cant remember?

at the desired speed press ur set button to memorise that speed.

any braking will then override it.

if ur still doin over 30 odd, hit the resume button. it will then cellerate back to ya memorised speed.

u can cellerate further by foot or the sett/ cellerate button, each press of the button goes up in increments of somethin, 5mph odd?
If you hold the button down it cellerates till ya get a blue feeling behind ya.

well, thats wot i do any how. but hardly ever.

if that dont work, check the hoses next.

just wind the window down, stick ya heed out an listen to the sound of that V8, oops!! ya cant cos ya bought the smelly slow one!

Teddy it sounds as if you are setting the max. speed warning indicator. Thats why when you hit 60 you are getting the bleeps to tell you that you are exceeding your desired max. speed.
Follow Ivors instructions and it will work. (assuming there are no faults)
Hope it works

yup its definatley the max speed indicator that ive been pressing by the sounds of it. The buttons on the steering wheel dont work. If theres anybody in west yorkshire that could at least show me where these hoses are if they are the problem. The manual is double dutch i havent got a clue, but yup i am eager to learn these things and am ready to get my hands filthy but I could really do with some guidance please.

now I dont know if your log burner is the same as the v8.

but on ours the mentioned diaframy bit is directly behind the compressor housing.
If in doubt, follow the secondary throttle linkage (the one that aint connected to the eggcellerator) back to where you will find an other linkage conacted to the diaframy bit.
from this you shud see a small hose connected to the back of it. if it aint look for a loose one in that area. there is also a T piece with the same size hose, 1 goes to the bit underneath, and i am not sure where the other goes. But i rekon it mite go all the way back to the brake light or brake light switch or somthin.
just follow it back.
But you may find that there is just a hose off or splitt.

hiya guys, erm.. I still cant get the cruise control to work and the switches on the steering wheel for the cruise dont work and not sure what to do:( I looked under the bonnet and didnt have a clue what to look for:( but what i did find is a 4 pin long square plug that had been unplugged from a socket on the left hand side underneath the fuse box and dont know what it is or why its been unplugged. If anybody knows what that plug is for please enlighten me, :( :( :(
