My girlfriend was driving our dse today and got stuck in traffic and the engine overheated ! She stopped and topped up the water let it cool down then drove home. I have driven it myself and it seems to heat up very quickly when pulling hard. But also cools down very quickly when you ease off. With the tempreture hot you can put a screwdriver in the viscous fan and stop it. How much drag should there be on the fan ? There is no excessive pressure or bubbles in the expansion bottle. Any help or ideas would be gratefully recieved. Thanks in advance

i had this problem it was the raditor not flowing enough under pressure

Hi Tev. What did you do to cure it ? Just flush the radiator or have to fit a new one ?

m8 i had it flushed it was still the same spoke to someone i knew told me not to be tight and buy a new one brought a new one put it on no probs at all m8 if i were you i`d have new you will waste your money on a flush

hello mate dont even consider flushing your radiator , it would be as much use as ****ing down a grid, only cure is like the previous post advised stick a new one on it and have done .
