I have changed fuel pump in tank, fuel filter, leakoff pipes, re seated no6 injector, i have run it from the injection pump straight into a pot of deisel also run it with coolant temp sensor and air temp sensor disconnected and it still running lumpy on tickover a loss of power. It has been good as gold today but that evening it started playing up again. It sounds and fills like loads of air in the fuel but if the pump in the tank is pushing from the start of the system not like a lift pump half way through the system, where would the air get in. Please help:confused:

make sure you have tightened everything, and check that the injector is seated properly, failing any of that dunno ;)

Hi Try checking the connector on the sensor injector no4. i you have
been messing with the injectors you may have dislodged it and a bad
connection will cause the FIP to eventually go into safe mode ie:runs
like a dog...just happened to me after reinstalling reconditioned injectors.
very embarrasing!

Thanks for that I will check that in the light tomorrow. Would I get a light or message on dash if it did go into safe mode.
Thanks again Jim

Hi...the engine management light
(looks like an injector)
will start to flash or come on solid when the engine is running.
If reseating the lift needle sensor clears the problem but you still have
the engine management light, you will need to get your local friendly
garage to clear the fault codes off the ecu with their ETMS,Rovacom,
or autologic machine.
good luck!

thanks for that but my light has not come on, only when you turn ignition on prior to starting.
i was speaking to a technician who said he could plug in auto logic but if i haven't got light on the dash then there probably haven't got a fault and touch wood the car has done about 30 miles in diferent road tests and conditions and hasn't played up since saturday. it is also going like a rocket. having said that it probably won't start tomorrow.

Hi there,

I think the best thing you could probably do while it is running ok is trade it in at a dealer and let them sort it while you are smoking around in a car that has some warranty on it.

If not i hope it stays running ok
good luck;)
