Morning All,

so here it goes. On Wednesday the right, front drive shaft was changed, Yesterday went to the motorway
switched on cruise control and again the three amigos turned on just like when the left side was changed some weeks ago. I am wondering if it's again the ABS sensor as it was on the other side, but yesterday, when driving back, leaving a car park it was like the breaks were pressed a short moment and then it was driving like normal again. Saw some meters after that the handbreaklight was on, checked the handbrake, but it wasn't applied. It drove sluggish after that and the speed didn't work anymore. After some miles I went to a fuel station and applied the handbrake again, when I started the engine after it all was good again. No three amigos, no handbrake light and it drove like normal since.

I am wondering if it's again the ABS sensor wiring or wheelspeed sensor this time, but it's strange that it happened now again. Will get it read out during the week. Any thoughts about same symptoms?

As it has CC it presumably is an automatic.

So did the revs go up but the car not drive as expected, or did the revs not go up?

Handbrake light can also mean low brake fluid I believe.

Yes, sorry forgot to mention, GG. It is an 02 autobox.
No the revs didn't go up. It accelerated very slowly.
@Nodge68, thanks will have a look into that.
If the revs didn't go up, then the brakes weren't binding.

The ECU would not have been telling the injectors to inject more fuel - either because it didn't pick up the accelerator movement (probably least likely), a/some sensors were telling it to protect the engine (eg fuel pressure) or (as Nodge says) there was corruption in data getting to the ECU or interference on to the injectors (not likely as there's 4 routes).

Looks like you need some diagnostics.

Yes, agreed. Got hold of one. Here are some pics from it:
P1605 I read that that should be deleted to see if it returns which I've done.
C1019
C1067
The first three are about those codes and the MAF, the rest I attached as there might be some thoughts on it. Not sure how reliable
those readings are.
It reports back MAF malfunction 0100 as well. WhatsApp Image 2022-02-06 at 18.22.19 (2).jpeg WhatsApp Image 2022-02-06 at 18.22.19 (3).jpeg

How many of these faults were historical? Might be worth clearing and seeing what comes back. But it looks as though you've lost both front wheel ABS signals?

Hi Rob, went to a garage yesterday and got it read out and on his one it showed that all except the MAF and Vehicle Road Speed Signal were historical. He kicked them out to see what of it comes back. The MAF and the other one weren't shown on his one so will wait and see. Thanks.

That’s you’re best bet. In mine, I’ve had to replace both front wheel speed sensors, the NSF reluctor ring and the yaw sensor! Oh, and the brake switch. Everything appears to be behaving now though.

tbh had I not have a diagnostic tool, finding the problems would have been neigh on impossible - especially from the start…

Oh, good. Hope I'll get that sorted soon as well to tackle other bits.
The new fault codes are C1116 Supply Voltage too low (Vehicle Running) and C1067 Right Rear Wheel Speed Sensor Signal Missing Or Too Low on ABS read.
On SRS read it is: Warning Lamp FAilure (Short To Ground Or Open Circuit) and Battery Voltage Too Low => Checked that and came up with 12.71V when off and 14.2 when running and headlamps and fan on three on for a while then 14.19V.
MAF a mentioned above is still one as well.

I doubt that the low voltage would cause a three amigo fault, unless from the TC/ABS ECU.
The fault sounds as though it is that rear ABS speed sensor… which at least ought to be relatively easy to sort out…

Yes, I agree. Will get it fixed as MOT is also due next week.

Found three amigos in the park while walking the dog which I would prefer over the LR oneso_O:

Went to the garage today to get it read out and a complete mess came out. All four sensors were shown on his reader incl. the two above. He deleted everything to see if they would come. One couldn't be cleared, but was for front left and showed historic on his reader, though he had all cleared last time. Not sure if his reader was that good or the one I have at the moment didn't pick up properly. They'll check on live data he said, once in.

If you can get live data telemetry, that can be really helpful to work out more complex problems :)

Yes, was surprised, but hoping it would go through. Am not in when due next week, so thought to go for it on Friday.

So here comes the joke. The same one that was rewired just some weeks ago was the fault as there was no live data coming through. Was changed cost me 200£. If I would have known could have changed myself but wouldn't have thought that it looks like this:
