Anyone suffered from the following, doors have started not closing properly. I slam them but they will only catch on first latch no matter how hard I slam them.:frusty:
Your advice would be appriciated.

They do that every now and then

Had this with my 90 and solved the prolem by adjusting the striker plate which had become worn

i had the same problem with my 110i replaced the hinges and that solved 99% of the problem, only issue now is that the doors are bent

My guess, as it's only just started, is that it's the cold weather. Two of my doors always become more difficult to close in the Winter and I have deduced it's because the lower temperature makes the rubber on the door seals less pliant.

I have found that the problem is greater in the cold weather, fine in normal temperatures. As said above the rubber is less pliable.

mine did this last year, the little plastic bit on the catch had worn loads so it just bounced off it no matter how you closed it. I know X Eng have made some solid ones but they are obviously a bit dearer than just replacing them.....but yeah, I think I managed to sort mine out with a bit of adjusting, which I did via this guide Difflock.com: QUICK TIP: adjust Defender doors

If your strikers are badly worn and adjustment doesn't work then take them off and swap them around (side to side) - saves you buying new ones for a couple more years

Thank you guy's for all of your replies. All very helpful. Saturday morning is sorted. Will try
1 Heating door seal with hot air gun.
2 Check slam tubing - Not totally sure what that is. Plastic tube in latch??
3 Check the stiker plates for wear and adjust.

Slam tubing is that stuff section in the door seals, should be where the curve in the door is
