When I did my bushes (all original), I needed nothing more than a chimnea, a hacksaw a punch and a hammer. Then replaced the lot with poly bushes...... simples.
Take radius arm (or whatever) off vehicle, stick bush end in lit chimnea, sit down with a fag and brew (fag is optional;)), when old bush has burnt out, remove and allow to cool. Remove hacksaw blade and pass through middle of outer bush before re-attaching to the hacksaw frame. CAREFULLY saw through the outer bush before knocking it out with the punch, job done;);)

I used to do that years ago on series, and it does work well :) With a series the big bushes in the chassis have to be burnt out with a blowtorch, then reverse the hacksaw blade in frame to cut the shell.

I must have gone off the smell of burning rubber nowadays! :D

I was gonna burn mine, hence the fire, but then did this .. ;)

To re-fit new original bushes I used Aarons press, I think, or was it on the A-frame bushes?, which took about 8 tonne pressure before they seated.

Using a chimnea is a lot tidier and less hassle than a blow torch/gas axe, and as long as you stay up wind you don't smell a thing;):clap2::lol::cool:

Yes, I should think it would work well, we don't have one, bit too windy here for sitting outside! ;) But my neighbours have got one, if I need to do any I could take them down there! Have a few drinks and burn em out slow! :D

Good to see Paul displaying his usual ingenuity, loving the little gas bottle brazier thingy! :)
