Hi to all, I brought a 2003 Range Rover L322 3.0 TD auto, When I brought it the "Check Engine" light would not come on. To cut a long story short, The old owner had a friend with a Land Rover T4 Testbook disabled the "Check Engine" light, so he could sell it with 6 major faults. I have fixed all of the faults so I need the "Check Engine" Light re activated for its MoT, can any one help? I am willing to travel.
Thanks
Jason

Have you checked the bulb hadn't been taken out?
Hi its a LED not a bulb, and when you do the test dash it lights up, so I know the LED is working, it took me 6 months to find the previous owner, to find out why it did not light up, and his garage friend is now abroad to avoid ex wife and tax man.

It was worth a shot!
I don't know if the nanocom can disable the light, I'm wondering if it's a region setting ie change back to UK and it may light up again, but just a guess. Someone with an l322 will be along eventually

You may not necessarily need testbook. That’s dealership diagnostics they will bankrupt you over the desk
A Nanocom or icarsoft should do many garages have one that should read your vehicle.

Welcome

Nanocom does not do early L322. Diag from Storey Wilson does though.

+1 on Storey Wilson, although I think he's only played with the v8 and not the diesel. Allcomms or 4DCAN depending on the year. Not sure if it can switch engine light on or off.
