That is why I don't like the 'fender, there is a reason they can't sell them in the US. They failed every rollover test they have. Even those with the factory fit cages only got through by the skin of their teeth. They aren't safe to use on the road without a cage. Offroad, it is your own funeral.


Do you actually know what your talking about? They stopped US production as they needed to be upgraded with airbags and side impact and given that they hardly sold in the US they simply pulled production. A defender in standard from is very hard to roll over, steel chassis and ally body means low center of gravity, they are famous for the amount of sideways lean you can get with them due to this, even lifted they are not the easiest things to roll... basically your talking ****...

I think you read that a bit literally, he wouldn't build an unsafe cage, just one to what best suits the customers needs...

I aint average joe, Im a ex design engineer for a major automotive firm,everything is stress calced.By saying you can have it how you like, I mean from a usage point of view.
