measure the voltage on the battery while you crank it... if it fails under 10V it will not start even if it cranks well as the starter 'eats' most of the power and the ECU doesnt have enough 'juice' to fire the injectors... even if the battery is new but not strong enough will do that trick... min 100A and 900CCA battery is required.... put a charger on the battery while you are thinking what to do

I didn't think I was getting 4 bar from the pipe going into regulator so I phoned up for a new pump where I got old one from and they said they have had a few back faulty...
I am going to try and get it fitted tonight... fingers crossed.. anyone got a diagram of the fuel system after the regulator...thanks all for the help..

You need to check the fuel pressure with a gauge as said the pump can be working but not delivering the required pressure.
It's also a good idea to get the fault codes checked.
The filter head can block up, they have a none return valve in them.
The starter can work ok but produce enough EMF too swamp the crank sensor then the ECU can't see the engine cranking and won't fire the injectors.
there is a small filter in the head behind the fuel pressure regulator behind the small "O" ring.

Hi all i got it working all seems fine changed the fuel pump purged it ans she's away thanks for all your help just a few other issus to fix bearing ace light leaking sunroof... feel free to help lol..
