Check your earth straps are good as its getting colder and wetter, another thing that happened on mine was the starter motor bush,s were a bit knackered I replaced them and its been fine since and they are dirt cheap.

it is turning over ok and starter seems fine mate..

try purging fuel system jump in and close doors , switch ignition on and pump accelerator pedal between 5 and 10 times quickly engine light will flash and will start purging the fuel system give it 5 mins to run sequence .. worth a try

had same trouble it ended up being injector harness, 2x injectors and seals and oil in ecu plug ???

have a look at lz rescue might be someone near you with a diagnostic set up, that would help eliminate a lot of possible faults.

sorry i have been refreshing the 1st page didnt see 2 paages lol thought i was getting ignored i tried the purging thing also the cut off switch is still depressed and still nothing i am trying find out if the crank shaft sensor will cause it

crankshaft sensor will stop the car from starting but will usually light the mil lamp on the dash, checkable with diagnostic check,
I think its fuel pump though, as a friends did the same, pump would run and appeared to work but when swapped with a properly working one, started straight away,
although yours ap;pears to work it may not be delivering the 4 bar the engine needs to run

Is it an auto?

Auto td5 will turn over but refuse to fire if it thinks it isn't in P or N. Touch wood, moving the selector through all the gears a few times has always worked for me
