Hi,
I am currently considering changing from a Freelander to a Discovery. I've seen one I want but it has a few minor problems.
It's been changed from air suspension to coiled, as a result, the suspension light is permanently on.
Also, the handbrake light is also always showing.
It's a 2002, 130k on the clock and priced at around 3.5k.
Are these big issues? The current owner seems to think not.
Many thanks
Tristan

If they are minor issues then why hasn't the current owner sorted them?

It probably needs the car telling it's not got air suspension any more and is on coils, and for that you'll need a Nanocom (always handy to have in any case) or get a garage to do it. The handbrake light could be poor adjustment or low fluid level

Have you been under it and checked for rust on the chassis, if not time for you to get down and dirty.

I haven't had a proper look at it yet, my knowledge isn't really good enough to give myself a proper answer.
It's a good question as to why he hasn't fixed it himself yet though!
I think I may take a mechanic along with me when I go take a proper look.
